Meet Cat

Cat is another Kimochis character that students have been meeting. Cat loves to be in charge but sometimes can be too bossy!

Cat can sometimes causes ‘cat fights’, which is why she comes with band aids to re-do hurtful moments that may have hurt her friends.

Cat teaches students to use a talking voice, instead of a fighting voice.

A talking voice is calm, appropriate tone and language.

A fighting voice is loud, hurtful and fast.

Students have been practicing using a talking voice when they are expressing that something has made them mad or sad.

Cat feels happy when she gets to be the leader.

Cat feels cranky when she can’t have her way.

Cat feels curious why her friends won’t play her way.

Cat teaches students to think before they speak “is it going to be a helpful or hurtful thing to say”.
