WorldSkills
Congratulations to Chelsea Bario, Aiden Tracey and William McLarty on their performance at the 2025 WorldSkills Australia VETiS Primary Industries Regional Competition. The three Year 12s travelled to Brisbane last week to compete against other state representatives in a variety of events.
Fantastic results all around, with a special congratulations to Will for receiving the Primary Industries Medallion for Excellence – an outstanding achievement!
Country Week Program
The final week of this term will be quite complicated with a range of programs including Country Week, work experience and a modified program for those students remaining on site. To assist us in managing student movements we ask that parents keep us informed of your plans for your child in a timely manner.
Reminder College Board Meeting
The College Board meets each term and the next meeting on Friday 27th June 12.30pm. This is an open meeting which anyone can attend.
Thankyou
I would like to take the opportunity of recognising the efforts of Brad Falkingham who stepped into the role of Farm Manager when Tony Abel left us. Brad has huge knowledge, not only about our Farm operations, but also the broader agricultural industry.
Brad is a qualified butcher and has had extensive experience working in industry, especially dairies. He has a terrific manner with students and a passion for sharing his experience with them. Brad is one of our many fantastic staff who make the College the success that it is.
Residential Supervisor Brenton Rice, left us last week to pursue a new career in the mining industry as a driller’s offsider. Brenton has been a valuable member of the residential team and always enthusiastic to get involved and organise activities for students. We wish him and his family well in what will be a significant change to his job and life.
