Principal's Report

Today marks the halfway point of the year, with lots to reflect upon and celebrate. It has been a rich and rewarding term, filled with learning, growth, and shared experiences. Highlights have included our vibrant NAIDOC Week celebration, the dedication shown by our students in their classroom learning, and the reverent participation of our candidates in the Sacramental Program. The celebration of Confirmation and First Eucharist has been a significant and faith-filled milestone for many of our students and their families, strengthening the spiritual life of our school community.
We look forward to returning to school on July 21st, ready for another exciting term ahead. Term 3 promises to be action-packed, with many senior sporting events, our Whole School Athletics Carnival, the much-loved Book Week Parade, and the continuation of the Sacramental Program for our Year 2 students. A highlight for our senior students will be the Grade 5 Camp—an opportunity for growth, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. There is so much to look forward to as we continue our learning journey together.
School reports
Our student reports for Semester 1 are currently being developed and will be released at the end of term through your PAM account. Please take time to have a read and celebrate your children’s learning and achievement. Learning Conversations will be held in Week 2 of term 3, bookings are open now.
NAIDOC Week Activities
On Wednesday, our school came together to celebrate NAIDOC Week under the inspiring theme "The Next Generation – Strength, Vision, Legacy." The day was filled with rich learning experiences, creativity, and community spirit as students engaged in a variety of activities that honoured and celebrated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
From traditional games in PE, to creating symbolic art, exploring native plants in STEM, building miniature humpy dioramas, and learning Auslan signs for How the Birds Got Their Colours, each session offered students a hands-on and meaningful way to connect with culture and Country. A highlight was the group performance of We Are Australian, which united students in rhythm, song, and pride.
A huge thank you to our incredible Grade 6 leaders, teachers, and support staff who helped plan, lead, and support the activities. Your efforts ensured the day ran smoothly and left a lasting impact. It was a joyful, respectful, and enriching celebration, one that truly reflected the strength, vision, and legacy of the next generation.
Winter Wellness Reminder
Just a gentle reminder that we’ve reached that time of term when winter illnesses tend to take hold. Both students and staff are more susceptible to colds, flu, and other seasonal bugs during this period. We kindly ask families to remain vigilant and to keep children at home if they are showing clear signs of being unwell. This helps us maintain a healthy environment for everyone and supports the wellbeing of our entire school community. Thank you for your continued care and cooperation.
Enrolment
2026 enrolment offers have been sent out and we look forward to beginning the transition and interview phase in Term 3 & 4. Information forms have been sent out this week, please complete these as soon as possible prior to the end on the term.
Some families have indicated they are leaving Holy Rosary for another primary school. Please let us know if this may be the case. It is extremely helpful in planning for next year and beyond and we can often support transition to another school environment.
