Eucharist Celebration

We were blessed to celebrate the Sacrament of First Eucharist with our Year 4 students last Sunday. The First Communicants waited with joyful anticipation to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ for the very first time. Their reverence and prayerfulness during the Mass were truly beautiful to witness. Surrounded by the love and support of their families, it was a deeply meaningful milestone in their Catholic faith — one that will continue to nourish their hearts and souls throughout life.

NAIDOC Week 6 -13 July, 2025

National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year (Sunday to Sunday), to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

This year’s theme is “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy, celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of First Nations young leaders, and the legacy of their ancestors.

Why is National NAIDOC Week important?

National NAIDOC Week encourages all Australians to cherish, celebrate and more deeply understand the unique and rich histories, cultures, contributions and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

There will be events held around Melbourne during Naidoc week to celebrate this important event.

I wish you all a happy and safe mid year break.
