Wellbeing

Another term finished, this one was a long one! Many wonderful things have taken place this term. The highlight being the opening of our new play space.
Creative Play Space: The new creative play garden has been in the making for a term now. Staff had noticed that the children were increasingly wanting to play with nature, create things and use their imaginations with dirt, sticks, leaves and stones. We didn't really have a great space for this to happen so we made one. Mr Brooking put lots of time into the garden not only doing the hands on work but also considering the best design for this space and we thank him for that. There are still a couple of things to add but the space is already very popular!
Athletics: As Mr Shaw mentioned last week some our students were able to represent our school at the Athletics at Ballam Park. The children did an amazing job showing sportsmanship, trying their best and encouraging each other which was wonderful to see.
Here's the team that went along.
Soccer: Yesterday we had some more children represent our school. We are grateful to Kananook Primary School for hosting us for a wet soccer game yesterday. Again the students played well, enjoyed a win and represented our school beautifully. Thank you to Wes and Chase for coaching the team.
Choir: Choir is in full swing this term as we prepare for our Feast Day Mass on the first Friday of next term. We will join in the Church with Bishop Tony, Fr Martin and St Joachim's School for a celebration of our Saints St Anne and St Joachim. Thank you Mrs McArthur for preparing the children.
Hoop Time: Another fun time for our senior students playing Basketball. They had great success.
Wild Side: The 1/2 unit has a visit from the Wild Side!
There were many many more great experiences across the term. I show you some of them to highlight ways in which our children are given opportunities to connect, belong, have fun and learn all in one.
I look forward to another wonderful term after the holidays.
