FunFit - By Mackenzie

The last two weeks of FunFit have been all about hula hoops. Charlie taught the whole school tricks with hula hoops and everyone had a great time. We did partner tricks and solo tricks. At first, everyone was getting used to the hula hoop and doing the basics, like hip spins, arms spins, leg spins and neck spins. FunFit will happen every week in Term 1 but it will be on different days. Ms Lisa will put the days on Seesaw each week. 

Inquiry - By Braiden

This Term, our Inquiry is called 'This is Me' and it's all about our identity. We have been learning about characteristics, which are things about ourselves that help us be kind to others. For example, I am polite when I use my manners and I'm respectful to others. We made Bio-Poems all about ourselves, like four characteristics, and our family, and things we like and don't like. We also learned about different Thinking Hats, and we did role plays to show what the different Thinking Hats look like. For example, the Green Thinking Hat is about creativity, finding different solutions to a problem.

Writing - By Valentina

In writing, we have been working on our punctuation using VCOP. The VCOP wall focuses on Vocabulary, Connectives, Openers and Punctuation. Penny Punctuation is the character we have been focusing on, and she is dressed as a princess because we need to save her from her tower using high level punctuation. Ms. Lisa made a game for us like Go Fish, but a punctuation version. For example, a sentence might say, 'My favourite colour is blue', and I would need to ask the other people in my group is they have a full stop. It's a really fun game and I would like to play it again sometime.
