Beginning of Year Morning Tea - Welcome to Families
Friday 31st January- 8.15am to 9.30am
We invite all families to our beginning of school year morning tea this Friday from 8.15am. We look forward to gathering for a coffee and a chat under the golden elm tree, adjacent to the Staffroom and Church.
Join us to catch up with old friends, new families of our Prep 2025 children, or families new to our community in Year1-6, to celebrate exciting times and new friendships!
A coffee van will be onsite providing free refreshments for adults only.
Second Hand Uniform Shop
The second hand uniform shop will be open on Monday 3rd February at 2.30pm. The shop is located in the B Building, or please ask the office for directions.
Classroom Requirements
It would be appreciated if each child could please bring to his/her classroom the following:
2 boxes tissues
1 roll paper towel
1 packet Chux wipes
Prep Students Rest Days
Prep parents please be aware that Prep Rest days will be held on the following Wednesdays: Wednesday 5th February,12 February, 19th February and 26th February.
Staff Car Park - No Parent/Child Access
The staff car park is for staff only. Please use street parking or the Kiss and Go Zone.
Kiss and Go Zone
The Kiss & Go Zone is designed to provide families with a safe and convenient area for dropping off and picking up children.
It is a short term stopping area for children to be able to walk between the car and the school using the safety of the footpath.
We remind parents that this area is also not a parking space and fines and demerit points apply if the driver leaves the vehicle unattended longer than 2 minutes and no more than 3 meters away.

Parent Attendance Required: Watch out for the Operoo notice for the full details of this event. At least one parent is required to attend online to enable your child to be given access to their chromebooks.
All classes will be led through Cyber Safety sessions with their class teachers throughout the first weeks of term 1 and throughout the school year.
Dates for the 2025 Year - Closure Days & Time in Lieu Days
Parents/carers please note the School Closure dates and Time in Lieu days set for the 2025 school calendar.
There are 4 days set aside for staff professional development and first aid training. There are additional 2 days as set aside for staff Time in Lieu Days (TIL). TIL days were introduced as a component of the new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.

- Thursday 24th April TIL day
- Friday 20th June -Closure Day 2
- Friday 15th August - Closure Day 3
- Monday 3rd November TIL day

Year 3 & 4 Swimming Program 2025
The Year 3/4 students will undertake an 8 day swimming program commencing in Week 5 on Monday 24th February. Further details will be sent to families on Operoo at the beginning of Term 1.

St. Andrew’s School Open Days are set for March 2025
School Open Days will be held on: Wednesday 12th March & Tuesday 25th March Tours will run on the hour at 9am, 10am, 4pm & 5pm. also Saturday 22nd March Tours at 9am, 9.45am & 10.30am
