My name is Sophie McQueen, and I am thrilled to be working with our Year 9 students and families this year. As a Head of Year for over two years, I believe in maintaining a firm but fair approach, supporting students through their learning and wellbeing journey. I greatly enjoy working with students and am committed to creating a supportive environment to ensure they become responsible learners and fulfil their potential.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, swimming, and camping with my family.
I teach Languages and Mathematics to junior classes, allowing me to get to know students early in their schooling journey. I am excited to work with your children in a different role this year.
Our theme for the year is Growing Together, which we will achieve by fostering positive relationships with peers and staff, developing a sense of community and strengthening skills with perseverance.
I look forward to a productive and rewarding year with all of you, and thank you in advance for your continued support.
Kind Regards
Sophie McQueen
Head of Year 9
