School TV

Vermont Secondary College

Dear Vermont Community,

As we embark upon on another term, we warmly welcome all new and returning families to our College Community.

We would like to highlight a couple of key policies to ensure a successful school experience for all. The updated Student Behaviour Policy is available here.

Little has changed in the policy this year however, one significant change, is that ‘Behaviour Notifications’ are now visible to parents. These are records used by the school to record incidents of relatively low-level behaviour that impact on the learning environment and have been managed by the teacher in the classroom.

As isolated incidents these should not be a cause for great concern however, if you notice a pattern emerging, or are worried about your child’s presentation and wellbeing, please don’t hesitate in reaching out to your child’s Student Manager. The school Dress Code is available here.

Please remind your children of our expectation that all students are in school uniform. Please contact your child’s Student Manager if you need assistance in accessing uniform or if your child requires a short-term uniform pass.

This year we are very excited to be able to offer School TV to our community. School TV is a resource that supports families with the challenges of modern-day parenting relating to health and wellbeing.

Given we are beginning a new school year, I strongly recommend you explore the resources relating to School Transitions. This edition focuses on providing practical strategies to assist your child during the transition process to reduce stress and anxiety.
