Group 2

As the year comes to a close, we celebrate the incredible progress our students have made across all areas of learning and development. Students have shown increased confidence in exploring their environments and expressing themselves. Through collaborative activities like group cooking experiences and circle time, many have strengthened their ability to form secure relationships and engage positively with peers and educators. We have seen students greet one another with smiles, eye contact and even spontaneous words, highlighting their growing social connections and sense of belonging within the classroom community.
Our students have embraced curiosity and independence in our daily activities. They demonstrate growing problem-solving skills, resilience and an eagerness to investigate and learn. Many students have enhanced their fine motor abilities through practical tasks like signing their names during sign-in routines, using tools during cooking sessions, and engaging with puzzles and sensory play. These experiences have fostered not only academic skills but also a love for learning and a readiness to take on new challenges.
Many students now use visuals, gestures and words to express their needs, ideas and choices more confidently. Structured and naturalistic teaching strategies have supported the development of receptive and expressive language, with students expanding their vocabularies and improving their ability to follow instructions and participate in group activities. Through songs, rhymes, and storytelling, children have built foundational literacy and language skills, setting them up for continued success. It has been an absolute pleasure working with our Group 2 students and their families this year, and we wish them all the best for 2025!
