Dear Families, Students, and Staff,

As we close the chapter on another school year, I want to reflect on what an amazing year it has been for our school community. Together, we have accomplished so much, and I could not be prouder of the incredible work, dedication, and spirit shown by everyone.

 

Thank You

To our incredible staff, thank you for your unwavering commitment to our students and school. You go above and beyond every day to ensure the best outcomes for all, and I am deeply grateful for your efforts.

To our families, thank you for your partnership and support. Your involvement and encouragement have been instrumental in creating a thriving, supportive environment for our students.

Most of all, to our students—you are the heart of our school. Watching you grow, learn, and achieve this year has been truly inspiring. Thank you for your energy, curiosity and resilience.

 

Farewell to Graduating Families

A special goodbye to the families of our graduating students. As your journey with us comes to an end, please know that you will always be part of our school community. We wish your children all the very best as they take their next steps and embrace new opportunities.

Special Congratulations

A big congratulations to Toby Dadson, our Learning Specialist, who has been appointed as an Inclusion Outreach Coach for our region. He will support mainstream schools with their inclusion practices while continuing to work with us one day a week to lead our School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support.

 

Exciting Leadership News

I am delighted to share that we have appointed three new Assistant Principals to help move our school forward even further:

  • Elizabeth Mason (Assistant Principal - Inclusion and Early Years)

  • Luke Goodman (Assistant Principal - Curriculum and Secondary School)

  • Patrick Goodman (Assistant Principal - Wellbeing and Primary).

Our leadership team for 2025 will include:

  • Lindy Abernethy (Principal)

  • Sandra Battisti (Executive Assistant Principal)

  • Elizabeth Mason (Assistant Principal)

  • Luke Goodman (Assistant Principal)

  • Patrick Goodman (Assistant Principal)

Our Learning Specialists will be Chris Patterson and Hannah Cooper.

 

Acknowledgments

A heartfelt thank you to our School Council and Parent Group for their dedication and contributions this year. Your efforts behind the scenes make a world of difference and we are incredibly grateful for your ongoing support.

As we head into the holiday season, I wish all of you a restful, joyful break. Take time to relax, recharge and enjoy time with loved ones. Please look after each other and come back refreshed and ready for another fantastic year in 2025.
