TEAM

'Together Everyone Achieves More'

Welcome back to school TEAM. It has been an exciting first couple of weeks for our students! We have returned to school to see new classroom setups, new teachers, new students, and most importantly, we have reconnected with our friends. Five weeks away from school can be a long time for some of us. It takes time to get back into the swing of things and form those positive routines of coming to school each and every day.

The theme for our first term of school is 'BEING RESPONSIBLE'. As we settle into our school routines we will be exploring this school value and what it means to be responsible. How can I be responsible at school? What does it look like? What does it sound like? What does it feel like?

At home, what can we do to be responsible and help ourselves to be ready for school?

  • Unpack my school bag at the end of the day (my lunch box, water bottle, clothes etc) so it is clean and ready for the next day of school.
  • Help to pack my school bag so I am organised and know what is in my school bag.
  • Help to make my healthy school lunch and refill my water bottle ready for school.
  • Try and get a good nights rest by going to bed at a sensible time.
  • Make sure I wash or bath/shower each day so I stay clean.
  • Start the day with a yummy breakfast at home or at school.
  • Arrive to school on time, ready for a day of learning!!

School should be a safe, inclusive, and collaborative environment, meaning we care, support, educate, grow, and learn together. These are attributes and attitudes we work to achieve each day at Cowwarr and we love our families being part of this vision. We have an open door policy at Cowwarr and welcome our parents and carers to be included in their young person's learning. There are many ways you can help and be part of your child's time at school. You can help in the classrooms to support learning, volunteer in breakfast club, be part of Parents and Friends to support fundraisers/special lunches etc, or join School Council. Doing your best to ensure your young person arrives to school on time, ready for learning, shows a tremendous amount of support for the Team.

Here is our weekly timetable for Term 1.

Assemblies are now being held on Friday afternoons from 2.40 pm. We would love to see as many faces as we can to celebrate the weeks learning. Congratulations to this week's award winners. Congratulations to Willow, Ariella, Molly, Westin, Atticus and Jayden on receiving student of the week awards at this week's assembly.

We are excited for the year ahead! It will be a fabulous year or working and learning together. Let us remember as we begin the 2025 school year that 'Together Everyone Achieves More'

Thank you
