Town Library, SORA, WORLDBOOK online

Parents, the summer reading slump is a real thing. Allocate some time each day for your children and yourself to read. They will certainly reap the rewards when they start back at school as their brains will have been kept active and neuron's growing with each and every new word that is read.

St Nicholas School Chess Competition

The chess competition was hotly contested between Charlie and Yaksh and it was a real nail-biter of a game.

Congratulations to Charlie the winner of the St Nicholas School Chess Competition for 2024.

Thankyou to Mr V for officiating over the grand final.

When students visit the library a huge emphasis is placed on the

premise that they have

CHOICE

in what they can read and borrow.

LIBRARY BAGS - ALL students require a bag.

Now is the time to wash those library bags and keep them in a safe place ready to bring out next year, OR perhaps your child needs a new one.

Regardless of which option ALL students need a library bag for 2024.

Please check your child's requirement list for 2024 - LIBRARY BAG is top of the list.

Download the free App to access this online reading resource provided by the Catholic Schools Office. Your family will have access to thousands of books 24/7.

Sora - get free ebooks and audiobooks from your school.

Step 1: Install Sora app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or soraapp.com.

Step 2: When in Sora, click on CONTINUE then I have a setup code.

(Do not click on “Find My School”)

Step 3: The “setup” code is cenetau

Step 4: Click on ACEN (the top bar), click again.

Step 5:Student signs in with school username and password.

Student may then EXPLORE all the options eg ebooks and audio books available.

Select Open book or Open audiobook to read or listen to the book.
Select Options to renew or return the book, see your notes and highlights, and more.
