Reflecting on a Remarkable Year at OLHC

As we conclude 2024, I want to reflect on all we have achieved together. This year, OLHC students have embraced challenges with enthusiasm, demonstrated creativity in their work, and shown incredible growth both academically and personally. Their determination, resilience, and curiosity have been a shining example to us all.

Friendships have flourished, weaving a vibrant sense of belonging at OLHC. These bonds form the foundation of our school’s unique character and strength. The students have encouraged, supported, and celebrated each other, embodying the spirit of kindness and togetherness that defines our community.

Thank You

To our families: Your unwavering support enriches our community and lays the foundation for student success. We are deeply grateful for your trust and partnership in nurturing the growth and development of our students.

To PFOL: Your extraordinary efforts in organising events and fostering school spirit are deeply appreciated. Special thanks to Sarah Medawar, Lisa McCann, Tony Vikram, Rhiannon Sayers, Diana Healy, Michelle Rabbito, Melissa Bowkett-Hall, and David Mulholland.

To SAC: Your wisdom and commitment to improving OLHC are invaluable. Thank you to Mark Lafferty, Kate Lewis, Mary Karolyi, Catherine Donoghue, Sharon Walker, Paula Cirone, Kris Williams, and Beau Sparkes. As a token of appreciation, we’ve invited PFOL and SAC members to a special dinner next Tuesday evening.

To our staff: Thank you for your dedication and hard work. Your passion for teaching, ability to inspire students, and care for each other make our school a place where everyone feels valued and supported. Together, you create a nurturing and vibrant environment that makes OLHC exceptional.

Farewell to Year 6

To our Year 6 students: Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and leadership. We are proud of the legacy you leave behind and wish you every success in high school. Remember, you will always have a home at OLHC.

As we head into the holidays, take time to reflect on this year’s achievements and enjoy a well-deserved break. May your Christmas be filled with family, joy, and the peace of Christ.

Wishing you all a blessed Christmas and a joyful holiday season.

Warm regards,
