1/2 Area

Welcome back Grade 1/2's

We are so happy to be back in the classroom and are ready for an amazing year. We are sure that this year is going to be filled with positivity and growth. 

 The past two weeks we have been getting  ready to learn. We have been getting to know one another through games. Learning about neurodiversity, regulating our emotions and bodies, and perseverance in our learning. The  grade 1/2s have also been learning about growth mindset, teamwork and playing fairly. The grade 1/2 teachers are all proud of the participation and engagement with the ready to learn program. 

Grade 1/2 Mantra 

The grade 1/2 team put together a suggestion box to come up with our cohort Mantra. Students spent time discussing their ideas in class. They also decorated paper people to represent themselves and any other special people in their lives. They drew their families, friends and teachers. They were all very proud of their artworks! 

There were so many great ideas that we couldn't choose just one. Here are our mantras for this year:

          Respectful
