Drum & Percussion Lessons PVNPS

Christopher Lewis is running individual drum & percussion

lessons on Tuesdays at PVNPS.

Sessions are ½ hr in duration in a one on one format.

Lessons focus on:

* encouraging a love and passion for music

* co-ordination

* listening skills

*learning a repertoire of tunes

* performance skills

*learning both drum kit and hand drums/percussion

*different styles from Rock , Afro Cuban, West African to jazz

* instrumental technique

* reading music notation

Chris is a highly experienced musician and teacher. Over the

past 18 years he has taught in wide ranging settings

including primary schools, high schools, transition schools,

indigenous communities.

He performs/musically directs/composes regularly with

many bands, ensembles, circus & theatre productions.
