Thank you

On behalf of St. Mary’s Parents and Friends Group, a very sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to and supported our various events throughout 2024. P+F works closely with SMFASS and G@S and we thank Roy Dass, Sophie Sanders and their teams for another great year at St. Mary’s. We are very grateful for the tremendous support of Denis, Olivia and the leadership and administration staff at St. Mary’s.

Highlights

From Easter egg raffle to school disco to parent cocktail event and of course a very memorable Fiesta, P+F events help bring together our community to create memorable experiences, raise funds for school enhancement, and continue to strengthen our connections as a community. 

Fiesta- it’s a wrap

Feedback from Fiesta has been overwhelmingly positive. Our Fiesta Committee has reviewed survey results in detail and used your responses to develop some recommendations to inform future events. The exact total of fund-raising amount takes time to finalise, however we are delighted to announce that the 2024 Fiesta raised in excess of $40,000 to be used for school enhancement. Thank you to our generous school community and to all who helped make this event so memorable.

Thank you: Outgoing President Tom Connell

Special thanks to outgoing P+F Co-President, Tom Connell who concludes his term this year. Tom has served on the P+F leadership group for the past eight years including four as Co-President. Tom’s energy, leadership and vision have been instrumental in bringing together many events over this time, notably Fiestas and the very popular Sportathon and Colour Run. Alongside a busy and demanding executive medical role at the RCH, Tom’s leadership and commitment have been central to the success of P+F.

New members welcome

The P+F is an inclusive and welcoming space where all contributions are valued. We warmly welcome new members from early 2025 and look forward to all the amazing things we will continue to achieve together! Watch this space in Term 1 2025 for a new Parents and Friends Group Charter and opportunities to take up new roles. Meetings will be held on the third Tuesday evening of each term.
