Dear Parents and Carers,

Here we are at the final newsletter for 2024.  Thank you to our wonderful staff and students for a terrific year.  Thank you to you, our parent community for the great partnerships we have shared this year, we look forward to continuing and strengthening these partnerships for your children in 2025 and beyond.

I am very much looking forward to slowing down for a bit and spending time with my family over the break.  It has been an extremely busy term and I have been away a lot outside of normal school hours.  I hope you and your families have a restful and enjoyable break and we look forward to welcoming you back in the new year.

Building has commenced!

As you would now be aware, our building work has commenced.  At present the hallway is blocked off from the current grade 4 classrooms through to the stairs to reach the 5/6 area.  We anticipate the new classrooms to be ready early in term 1 with our grade 1 students commencing 2025 in the school hall and the grade one students commencing in the Art and STEAM room.  Our school office will temporarily be located in the hall on the stage along with First Aid.

We will send through more detailed information about locations and access closer to school commencing in 2025.

The red is the closed off areas.

Step Up Day

Today, our students had their step up day in the morning and had the opportunity to meet their new teachers and grades.  See below for a full list of staffing for 2025.

Your child will be able to inform you of their teacher this afternoon, if you need clarification please contact:

Be Ready

Our staff had the biggest dose of needing to Be Ready that we could handle this week.  The buildingr contract was awarded to our builders on Friday 6th December, they came and did a walkthrough of the site on Monday 9th of December and we had to empty and relocate 3 classrooms, an administration area, Principal, Deputy Principal, Wellbeing Leader offices and library by Friday 13th December.  And with a bit of luck, a whole lot of hustle and teamwork, on Monday we have relocated and are pretty much set up.  It just goes to show, even if you are not ready, with collaboration and a good team, anything is possible.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and God Bless.

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay connected,
