A note from Mr Jackson
Graduation Celebrates Year 6 Students
It was a wonderful evening of celebrating students in Year 6 with their families and staff on Monday evening. The Year 6 Graduation was held at Viewbank Secondary College and will be remembered for the remarkable speeches of students, an impressive modern dance, the presentation of memory books and the presentation of graduation certificates. All left with appreciation for those responsible for hosting the evening and confident that the first steps in secondary education will be positive and rich indeed.
New Website Provides Support for Families
A new school year is an exciting time for students and families, but it can be a big step – particularly for those starting Prep or moving to secondary school.
The Department of Education has published a webpage with resources and information to help you prepare for the new school year. During the school holidays, please consider reading through the resources, which include:
- tips to help transition between kinder and Prep and primary to secondary school
- what to expect at school
- help with school costs and fees
- health and wellbeing guidance to support children’s mental health.
Please refer to the A New Year of Learning webpage. Hope you find it helpful!

Our day will be short this coming Friday. Students will be dismissed at 1:30pm and supervision in the yard will conclude at 1:45pm. All are invited to the final assembly which will take place at 12:40pm. This will be a chance to celebrate student learning and student leadership, as well as farewell our 2024 Grade 6 Graduates.

Hopes for a Meaningful Christmas Break
Thanks to all who have been a part of the Rosanna Primary School community over this last year. For some, they have achieved new heights, while for others it has been a year of challenges. For us all, it has been a path that has been travelled together, supported by each other. I'm thankful for each contribution and value each student's presence has made.
Amidst decorations, public holidays and the busyness of the holiday season, no matter what your faith or cultural traditions, I hope it is peaceful, rich with human connections and safe. I hope to see you soon at the conclusion of January when we can continue to celebrate the adventure and value all learning.
