NAIDOC Week

Celebrating NAIDOC Week
This year, NAIDOC Week falls during the school holiday period. While students and staff will be away during the official celebrations, our school community looks forward to recognising and celebrating NAIDOC Week when we return to school.
On Wednesday 29 July, we will hold two special NAIDOC Week Celebration Ceremonies—one for the Senior School and one for the Junior School. These ceremonies will provide an opportunity for our community to come together to acknowledge and celebrate the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The ceremonies will feature Indigenous dancers and musical performances by our students, highlighting the importance of storytelling, culture and community through the performing arts.
Between the Senior School and Junior School ceremonies, students will have the opportunity to participate in a range of cultural activities, including an art station, emu feather jewellery making and Indigenous food tastings. These experiences will encourage students to engage with and learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in meaningful and hands-on ways.
We look forward to sharing this important celebration with our students, staff and invited guests as we recognise the enduring cultures and contributions of First Nations peoples and continue our commitment to learning, respect and reconciliation.
