A Step Back in Time: Our History Park Excursion

Our young people in K/1/2 recently adventured out to the Mungindi History Park, bringing our Term 2 "Organic Learning" unit on the past and present to life! It was wonderful to watch the children explore the many things throughout the history park, their eyes lighting up as they compared the old school, jail cell and machines to the modern things they use today. The absolute highlight of the day was hearing the students eagerly imagine what daily life would have been like for children living in that time period - minus the technology we have today! It was a fantastic, hands-on afternoon of discovery that truly made history come alive for our youngest learners.

Murray Hartin Visit 

It was very exciting to welcome Muz back to our community this term. He worked with each class to write their own poem, encouraging them to recite at the 2026 Mungindi Show Poets Breakfast. We are looking forward to sharing our poems with you.
