Principal's Message

Crazy Hair Day & School Band Performance
What a fantastic day we had celebrating both our talented young musicians and supporting a worthy cause!
Students and staff embraced the fun and creativity of Crazy Hair Day, arriving at school with an incredible array of colourful, imaginative, and sometimes very wild hairstyles. The enthusiasm and school spirit on display brought plenty of smiles and laughter throughout the day.
Adding to the excitement was a wonderful performance by our school band. Our talented musicians showcased the results of their hard work and dedication, entertaining the school community with a confident and engaging performance. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school.
The day also provided an opportunity to give back, with funds raised in support of Vision Australia. Through the generosity of our students, families, and staff, we were able to contribute to an organisation that provides vital services and support for people who are blind or have low vision.
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make the day such a success. Events like these not only bring our community together but also remind us of the importance of creativity, inclusion, and helping others.
We congratulate our musicians on their outstanding performance.
Harmony Day Parade
On Thursday 25th June, we will be celebrating harmony and diversity at MPRPS. At school, we strive to create an inclusive and respectful environment where everyone feels they belong. Our school community come from places all around the globe, each with their own unique culture and tradition. All students are invited to wear any cultural clothing, clothes representing the colours of their flag or orange – the colour of harmony. We will then hold a parade at 2:50pm to celebrate the rich, diverse range of cultures at MPRPS, which our school community are invited to attend. We hope to see you there!
Road Safety Reminder for All Families
With a large number of vehicles, pedestrians, students, and families using the area at the same time each day, it is essential that everyone remains vigilant and follows established road safety practices.
The safety and wellbeing of our students, families, staff, and local residents is a shared responsibility. Adhering to road rules and safe driving behaviours helps to reduce the risk of accidents and creates a safer environment for everyone.
We kindly ask families to avoid performing U-turns directly in front of the school. This manoeuvre can be particularly dangerous during busy periods, as there are often students and parents crossing the road, sometimes without supervision. Unexpected vehicle movements can increase the likelihood of accidents and place pedestrians at unnecessary risk.
We also remind all community members to use the designated school crossings whenever crossing the road. These crossings are specifically designed to provide the safest possible passage for pedestrians and should be used at all times, even when accompanying or supervising children. By consistently using the school crossings, adults not only protect themselves and their children but also model positive road safety behaviours for all students and members of the community.
Building and Library Fund Donations
If you have not yet made a donation to the MPRPS Building Fund and would like to before the end of the financial year to claim a tax deduction, donations can be made through the Compass Payments Centre. Please contact the school if you require any assistance or would prefer to make your donation via the front office. Any donation amount would be gratefully appreciated. All donations will be used for the constructing and maintenance of our school buildings.
