Catholic Social Teaching
Last Wednesday, our Year 5 and Year 6 students had the opportunity to hear from the Mayor of Maribyrnong, Mohamed Semra, about local social justice issues affecting our community. Students explored how these issues connect with our school theme, Never see a need without trying to do something about it, and the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
This valuable learning experience encouraged students to think about how they can respond to the needs of others and will support their learning next term as they continue to explore justice through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching.
Religious Education in the Classrooms
This week Year 1 and Year 2 students reflected on Scripture images of God as a potter, shepherd, mother, and father. Through their artwork, they shared their own understanding of God's love, care, and guidance.
New Hymns
Over the past few weeks, classes have been learning new hymns for Mass. Our recently learned songs focus on using our hands to do God's work in the world, connecting beautifully with our school theme: Never see a need without trying to do something about it.
The hymn These Hands reminds us that our hands can be used to help, care, share, and serve others.

SRC Students
Thank you to our Semester 1 SRC students for their wonderful support and leadership throughout our liturgies and Masses. Your reverence, confidence, and commitment have helped make these celebrations meaningful for our school community. You have led in a beautiful way, and we are grateful for all your efforts.
First Communion
Thank you to all the families who attended our Sacrament Information Night last week. The evening marked the beginning of our First Communion preparation journey and provided an opportunity for families to learn more about this special sacrament.
We keep our Year 4 students and their families in our prayers as they take this special step in their faith journey.
