Aerobics Nationals

On 15th – 18th September, 29 MGC students competed in the AeroSchools and National Clubs Competition Championships. Held at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, the event brought together competitors from around the country to showcase their incredible skills and passion for aerobics.

The MGC team consisted of students in Years 7 – 12 who performed individually, in a pair or team. The girls competed against many schools and clubs and achieved some outstanding results! The success of all the MGC athletes is a testament to their dedication and passion for the sport, and they represented the school with pride and enthusiasm.

Among a number of podium finishes, we are excited to share the thrilling success of the following students who achieved a first place result:

Mila Eastick, Amy Morrison and Taya Argus – Division A Upper Secondary Teams

Taya Argus – Level 5 12+ Years Individual

Maeve O’Byrne – Level 4 12-14 Years Individual

Gabrielle Edbrooke and Maeve O’Byrne – Level 4 12+ Years Multiple

Holly Wickett – Level 3 12-14 Years Individual

Alina Wiebenga and Carlotta Mortley-Mora – Level 3 Multiple

We would like to say a very big thank you to the team’s dedicated coaches, Holly Morrison and Jasmine Wong. These remarkable achievements wouldn’t have been possible without them. We would also like to thank the families for their support and encouragement at the competition and throughout the 2023 season.
