Term 4 is the busiest for Senior Primary! Year 5 students are planning and making items for a stall at their annual Christmas Market, as part of Business and Economics. This would be one of the main highlights for the year, as they research goods or services to sell, with all profits being donated. Our deep hope is that our students learn to innovate, create, and profit for the purpose of loving their neighbour and loving God.
Year 6 students are preparing for their transition into Secondary School, through their unit, The Next Step. This term they will reflect on their Primary School days and prepare, practise, and deliver speeches on their Graduating night. Our deep hope is for students to make meaningful transitions in school and in life that are grounded in God’s firm foundation. It’s a very special time for them. Of course, alongside this excitement, students are focussing on fractions, decimals, and financial mathematics, as well as learning the structure of a procedural text. They hone their reading comprehension and information skills through intentional research during Literacy rotations, with a specific emphasis on small businesses around the world that help our communities or environment.

Senior Primary students were fortunate enough to meet Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton, where our students listened to some very important life lessons.
1. Never lie. God knows the truth and you know the truth.
2. Pray daily, even when you don’t understand why you may be going through tough times.
3. Know that God cares about you, no matter what others say or what you read, especially on Social Media.
4. You have a choice. You can be bitter, or angry, or vengeful, or you can choose to move from the shadow to the sunlight. Choose to find hope and happiness and joy.
This Term during our God Story, students are learning about being grounded in God’s firm foundation. Lindy can certainly attest to that.
