Principal's Message

Swimming Program

Our Whole School Swimming Program has been progressing extremely well with excellent reports of student participation and behaviour. The logistics of transporting nearly 500 students to and from the pool each day, along with changing clothes, managing swimming bags, etc is significant. Thanks to Sheree for her outstanding organisation, as well as to our teaching and support staff and parent helpers who make the program possible.

Remembrance Day Ceremony

Congratulations to all students for their respectful engagement with our Remembrance Day Ceremony last Friday. The ceremony was conducted by Year 6 students Heath, Charlotte, Cleo, Jayda, Jaanvi, Emma and Elise who performed the National Anthem and The Last Post on the violin.

Destination Secondary Schools

Many parents are interested to know the breakdown of our Year 6 cohort destination schools. For many years, the approximate ratio of Government Schools to Non Government Schools hovered between 3:1 and 2:1. This year sees a significant change with 30 students heading to Government Schools and 27 students heading to Non Government Schools, a ratio close to 1:1. A summary of the schools is included below:

Year 6 - 7 Transition

In supporting our students to have a smooth transition to secondary school and to be as well prepared as they can be, we have recently welcomed back some students who are currently in Year 7. These students (Sasha Neilson, Asha Nance, Connor Goldsmith & Evan Maniatis-Koutsaplis) spoke extremely well of their experiences and provided helpful advice to our current Year 6 students.
