This week in Writing we are continuing learning to write narrative texts. 

VOCABULARY

Narrative: A made up story. 

Sizzling start: An exciting beginning that grabs the reader's attention.

Characters: Who the narrative is about.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

With your child, write a narrative using an exciting beginning (sizzling start) that grabs the reader's attention. 

For Example: Kate was standing frozen in shock. A cupcake had flown through the air and splattered all over her face.
