Cyber Topic of the Week: Good Habits Start Young
Parents and carers play an important role in helping children to develop digital intelligence — the social, emotional and practical skills needed to successfully navigate the digital world.
Even for preschool children, it is never too early to instill good habits, and as your child gets older it is useful to keep reminding them of these basic digital intelligence principles: respect, empathy, critical thinking, responsible behaviour and resilience.

The Allied Health Team at SGPS
Our school is very fortunate to have a team of highly skilled allied health professionals who do such important work, supporting students, families and staff. Each professional liaises closely with teachers and our learning intervention team when student referrals are made. Contact with parents/carers is also an important element of their work.
We have had a multidisciplinary team in place for two years now and we aim to have the same team at SGPS in 2024.
Our allied health team are:
Katie Moss - Social Worker (Monday to Thursday)
Simone Fraser - Speech Pathologist (Tuesday each week)
Elise Chambers - Occupational Therapist (Thursday each fortnight)
Kate Elizabeth - Play Therapist & Councillor (Friday each fortnight)
Tara Byron - Psychologist (periodic visits to undertake assessments)
