New appointment

We have recently undergone a recruiting process to secure an additional teacher for 2025.

After a rigorous process, I’m very pleased to announce that Emily Lestrange is the preferred applicant for our extra class.

Emily is currently teaching at Kingswood Primary School and resides in Dromana.

I am hoping that Emily will be available to meet everyone when we have our planning day and whole school transition, in December.

School Camp

We are all very much looking forward to our Year 3-6 camp next week at Golden Valley Adventure Camp, Flinders. Can all students attending please ensure that they arrive no later than 8:45am on Monday morning.

Those families dropping of medication, Jac Emmett will be available in the kitchenette in the Senior Building from 8:30am.

Please ensure you bring the completed pink medical slip in a zip lock bag with the required medication enclosed, along with its original packaging.

School Uniform

Uniforms instil pride in our school, encouraging students to represent Baxter PS positively. Please ensure your child is wearing FULL school uniform each and every day. This includes navy shorts (not black), neutral-coloured socks (white, black or navy), hair free from hair dye, no makeup and no fake nails. If your child is out of uniform for reasons beyond your control, please send communication to the school.

Monday 4th November – Student Free Day (assessment and reporting)

Tuesday 5th November – Student Free Day (Melbourne Cup public holiday)

Friday 6th December – Colour Run (afternoon)

Tuesday 10th December – ‘Up Day’ whole school transition for 2025 (current Year 6 students attend their Secondary school on this day)

Thursday 12th December – Year 6 Graduation

Friday 13th December – Student Free Day (Planning Day)

Wednesday 18th December – Final Assembly/Christmas Concert

Friday 20th December – Last day of school (1:30pm finish)
