NRL Workshop
Our Year 9 Students have been provided the opportunity to engage in a Mental health and Wellbeing workshop through the NRL. Former players Trent Hodkinson and Zeb Taia spoke with the cohort about what makes a successful team, what makes a successful individual and how we all need support in one way or another to be the best we can be.
Students were able to identify the triggers of stress and then discussed the strategies that can be put in place to help alleviate the stress. A lot of emphasis, from both players, was put on being connected. They reiterated to students the need to work as a team with those around them, to identify their support networks, to make sure they reach out and ask for help if needed but to also make sure they are available for others looking for support.
A massive thank you to the NRL for travelling out to Narrandera and offering to come to the school. Our students got a lot out of it and were brilliant throughout the workshops.
