Grade 5/6 Camp Adventure: A Week of Fun and Growth

What a week! Our Grade 5/6 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure filled with exciting challenges and teamwork. Set against the backdrop of a beautiful outdoor setting, the students took part in activities that pushed them to be brave, resilient, and supportive of one another.

Among the many highlights were the thrilling flying fox, the adrenaline-pumping giant swing, and the challenging high ropes course. Students also showed impressive strategy skills during orienteering and frisbee golf, and creativity while crate stacking. A new favourite, gaga ball, saw students cheering each other on.

Evenings were just as special, with a movie night to wind down after our first big day. On the second night we enjoyed a cosy campfire where marshmallows were roasted, and a night walk where we had an incredible view of the stars.

Throughout the week, the students demonstrated incredible resilience, conquering fears, making new friends, and encouraging their classmates every step of the way. It was a camp experience filled with adventure, personal growth, and lasting memories!

Interschool Sports

After our huge week at camp we had our first Summer District Sports day. The students played well, and as always showed great sportsmanship. We had a few wins across the different sports, and we’ll be ready to play even better next week!

Solar Boats

Our solar boats are looking fantastic! We have one final session this Friday morning, and most boats have already had some speedy runs on the water. We will have our Solar Boat Challenge Day on Thursday 19th September. We would like to invite any parents and friends to cheer on our top boats from 2pm as they race to represent WPS.
