What's happening?

Our new playground brings some great learning...

The year 1 students in V7 have been doing some really important learning about how to use our new playground safely. They all went outside to try the new equipment and determine how to use each piece safely. Back in their classroom, they discussed together what some of the risks could be if it was used in an unsafe way, what the likelihood of an injury would be and some rules around how to use each piece safely. It was a great way to learn about why we need rules and understand the reason why we need to follow these.

Well done V7!

EMS

As part of upgrades that are occurring across the Department for Education, we transitioned to a new learner management system, EMS (Education Management System) yesterday. As families, you may not notice any difference to our operations but as this system means everything we do from an administration point of view is new, some things may take a little longer than usual. We thank you for your understanding as we put all of our new learning into practice. We will get quicker!

Materials & Services Charge 2025

As announced by the Government earlier this year, families will receive $200 per child to help cover the Materials & Services Charge (School Fees) in 2025. A schedule outlining our Materials & Services Charge for 2025 is below. This will be the amount charged before the $200 rebate is applied.

You are invited to attend the Governing Council meeting on Tuesday 5th November at 5.45pm in V9. This time has been set aside for parents to discuss and ask questions regarding the fee structure as outlined under Section 129 of the Education & Children's Services Act 2019.

The discussion will occur between 5.45pm & 6.00pm with the normal meeting following after for Governing Council members.

Drakes Community Dollars

Did you know that Drakes run a program which can support our school?

We are now a member of the Drakes Community Dollars program which was established as a way for Drakes to regularly give back to the local groups which operate in the community.

Simply download the Drakes app and connect to Para Vista Primary School. When you shop at participating Drakes supermarkets, scan the barcode on your app and for every $2 spent in store, 1c will be accredited to our school fund.
