Night to Remember

Night to Remember

It was with great anticipation of a good old ‘Aussie As’ feast of entertainment that brought  the crowds to the PAC on Thursday night. What a bargain entertainment package the audience received as they were treated to music, drama and some stand-up comedy produced from students across the school.

There was music from Australian composers, a few dad jokes, some vocal gymnastics explored with a Tones and I track. Nostalgia lane beckoned with renditions of Waltzing Matilda, The Man From Snowy River theme and a nod to our ‘Sunburnt Country’ poetry.

Many students offered up some solo or duet performances and students from our Junior and Senior School Bands, Guitar Ensemble, Vocal Group And Drama Club, showed off their extra curricular performance skills. Our VCE music group ‘Jesus and the Beanie Boys’ delivered an original number and smashed out some Hoodoo Gurus to finish the night.

Collectively we are proud of each other, and the collective support we showed to our performing peers on the evening was stellar… or perhaps ‘Bonza’. Thanks to not only our audience and performers – but to all our instrumental music teachers who supported the evening with their skills and time. Ms Handley, Ms Kennedy, Ms John and Ms Reymers reckon you all ‘go alright’ and deserve a ‘Yeah, Nah, Yeah’ for all your efforts. I’d like to finish up with a quick ‘How’s the serenity’ and be on my way.

Thanks to everyone for making our evening A Night To Remember.
