Hockey Report

As we conclude another fantastic season of Junior School hockey, I would like to take the opportunity to reflect on the achievements and growth of our Lightening, Warriors, and Brumbies teams, as well as the support from our dedicated coaches and parents.

Firstly, a huge thank you to our coaches, who have been an invaluable part of our team this season. Your commitment, time, and expertise have not only developed the skills of our players but have also fostered an environment of encouragement and growth. Whether it was running drills, providing game strategies, or motivating the team during challenging moments, your guidance has been essential to the improvement we've seen in every student.

This season has seen incredible progress in our players. From mastering the basic skills of passing, dribbling, and shooting to understanding more advanced aspects of game sense, every student has shown remarkable improvement. Their ability to read the game, make strategic plays, and support their teammates has been a joy to watch.

The most rewarding part of this season has been witnessing the development of teamwork and sportsmanship. Every player has contributed to the team's successes, working together, communicating effectively on the field, and showing resilience when faced with tough opposition.

Congratulations to all the students for their effort, determination, and positive attitudes throughout the season. Thank you to our families for the continued sideline support!

To Infinity and Beyond: A Stellar Soccer Season

In a season that proved to be as thrilling as it was rewarding, our Under 12 team known as Infinity, under the expert guidance of Coach, Nicole Caro, soared to great heights. The team, having played together since Kindergarten, demonstrated unwavering spirit and skill, securing a commendable fourth place in the Under 12  ODFA A Division. Their journey, akin to a quest through the galaxy, was marked by dedication, teamwork, and sheer enthusiasm.

Coach Nicole Caro, the mastermind behind this dynamic squad, has been more than just a coach; she has been a mentor and a guiding star. From their earliest days in Kindergarten, when they first kicked a soccer ball together, to their recent feats on the field, Coach Caro has been the force propelling them towards their goals. Her commitment and passion have undoubtedly been instrumental in shaping these young players into the formidable team they are today.

This season, Infinity showed resilience and skill, capturing the essence of teamwork and sportspersonship. Their journey through the ODFA Competition was a testament to their hard work and unity. Each game was a new adventure, with every player contributing their unique talents to the team’s overall performance. Their fourth-place finish is a reflection of their dedication and the incredible support they received from Coach Caro and families.

As the season draws to a close, the members of Infinity are preparing to embark on new adventures, heading in different directions and exploring new horizons post Year 6 in the Junior School. While it’s a bittersweet moment to part ways, the experiences and friendships forged over the years will remain a cherished part of their lives. Team Infinity have not only represented their school with pride but have also set a shining example of what can be achieved through perseverance and teamwork.

Congratulations to Infinity for a season of exceptional soccer and for embodying the true spirit of the game. To Coach Nicole Caro, thank you for your unwavering support and for guiding these young stars. As Team Infinity set their sights on new adventures, we know they will carry the values and skills they’ve developed on this journey “to Infinity and beyond.”

Meanwhile, the KWS Gold team had a fantastic run, making it all the way to the semi-finals. After a hard-fought match, they secured an impressive 3rd place overall.
