What a great first week we have had with the Year 5 students and staff leaving for camp on Tuesday and our 2025 Preps starting their transition sessions. In the coming weeks there are so many great things occurring including: Year 3 and Year 4 Camp, the Year 2 sleepover and the Year 1 stay late.
Some Year 5 camp highlights:
Don’t forget your hats
As per our SunSmart policy. Staff, students and volunteers are required to wear a sunhat whilst outside at CHPS. Students who don’t have their sunhat will be asked to stay under cover and play during break times. Please make sure all hats are named.
World Mental Health Day – Mental Health and Work
Happy World Mental Health Day, please click here for some great insight and resources about the importance of workplaces creating healthy working environments.
This morning members of the school leadership team had the privilege of attending a breakfast at Eastland where Trent Cotchin shared his leadership journey and the importance of helping others to realise and focus on achieving their full potential. He reflected on the attributes of the best teams in the world being that they are: purpose driven, values based and performance focussed. He spoke about the difference between striving for perfection (unattainable) and excellence (attainable). At the end of his presentation he challenged the 150 people in the room to message a person that they love today and tell them why. I encourage all of you to do the same!
Social media
In this current climate of the fast-paced changes to social media platforms, please see below for some great resources for parents/carers to not only learn more about these platforms, but have conversations with your children about them.
