Nunga Tag – Tuesday 24th September

The annual Nunga Tag Carnival is the biggest Aboriginal community event in Southern Adelaide. The event has been running for over 10 years and continues to grow with the strong support of the community. The Nunga Tag Carnival for students in Years 4 and above was hosted by SA’s National Rugby League team at the Hackham Football Club. Seven students participated in the games and were excellent representatives of our school. It was a great day and the students showed good sportsmanship and persistence and resilience when playing. Comments from the students:

BR: It was great getting tries in the rugby games. The free hot chocolates were great!

LM: The hot chocolates were great. Going to the community stalls was great and playing the games against people from my old school.

CM: I enjoyed going to the stalls and getting to know other people from other schools.

SW: It was great playing with my friends and having a go at rugby.

HO: I liked tagging people in the rugby game and seeing my cousins in another team.

MT: I like playing in the rugby tag game and happy to see my friends form my old school.

LP: I was happy I scored a try and I enjoyed spending time with my friends and seeing my cousins.
