Principal's Report
Welcome back to Term 4
I hope this message finds you all well and rejuvenated after a restful term break. It has been pleasing to see all our students are well and truly settled into the school routine again and ready for a big term of learning and events with our dedicated staff and outstanding teaching team.
As we begin the new term, we are thrilled to introduce our new look newsletter! This contemporary design celebrates our College and makes information easier to view and access. A special feature is the Student Leader's Page, which now appears at the very start of the newsletter. Our students are our greatest pride and joy, and their voice is at the heart of everything we do at Truganina P-9 College.
You’ll also notice a new Upcoming Events page that allows families to easily track important dates and events happening at the College. If you prefer a hard copy version of the newsletter, please contact the office, and we’ll be happy to organise that for you.

Growing, Developing and Improving - Truganina P9 College
Every student at Truganina P-9 College has access to outstanding and well maintained facilities. To ensure that we continue to improve, a key focus this term will be the completion of our additional facilities and the finished fit out of the sky reaching vertical learning spaces. These additional spaces will allow for more collaborative learning opportunities and a dedicated language learning environment to inspire our students and bring language learning alive.
In addition will be the creation of an Adult Professional Learning Centre to ensure that our teachers have access to outstanding resources and programs that build their capacity as teachers and support their career as educators.
SunSmart
As the weather warms up we would like to take the opportunity to remind families that Truganina P9 College is a SunSmart school. Please ensure your child has a broad brimmed hat and appropriate SunSmart clothing for school from the beginning of term 4. School uniform hats must be worn outside during Term 1 and Term 4 of the school year. Students are also permitted to wear sunglasses during outdoor activities. Sunglasses should be close-fitting, wraparound that meet the Australian Standards 1067 and cover as much of the eye area as possible. For more information, please see our Student Dress Code policy.
Student mobile phones and devices
This is a reminder that in accordance with the Department of Education School Devices Policy and Mobile Phones - Student Use Policy issued by the Minister for Education, personal mobile phones must not be used by students at Truganina College during school hours, including lunchtime and recess, unless an exception has been granted. We ask our parents and carers for cooperation with this policy to ensure that all children are able to focus fully and safely on their learning and school activities. Information regarding personal devices can be found in the Truganina P9 College Mobile Phone Policy
In conclusion, the Truganina P9 Team and I look forward to another exciting term with our college community full of learning and celebration of our many achievements.
Happy Learning!
Amanda Williams - College Principal
