Dance Night

On Wednesday 9th October, we held our Semester 2 Dance Showcase where students proudly presented their own choreographic work to their family, friends and members of the wider school community.  It was wonderful to watch student’s choreographic creations, as well as the camaraderie between dancers from all year levels.  Congratulations to all of the students who performed on the night and in particular, to our Year 12 dancers – Clover, Gemma, Jess, Lily and Oakley.

Year 8 Showtime

Students in the Year 8 elective, Showtime, have been hard at work this Semester adapting the family favourite musical, The Wizard of OZ. They have deigned a punchier, comedic version told from the perspective of Toto, Dorothy’s beloved dog.

The performance ‘Tales from Oz’  completely developed by the students, including the script adaption, direction, choreography, costuming, posters, set design and construction and properties.

Students had to adapt their choreography so that it would be performed in M5 (Drama room), this involved moving audience members and cast around to create the ‘all inclusive’ performance.

Tales from Oz was performed at 2pm Thursday 7th of November and all parents and friends of the performers were invited to attend.

Production 2025

Auditions are just around the corner for our 2025 show. We can’t tell you too much about it yet, but students interested in being involved will need to keep a look out for the updates in Compass or pop into the Performing Arts faculty for more information.
