Excursions Galore at PVS

Excursions galore at PVS!

Thank you to all of our amazing staff for organising and coordinating these fantastic events.

One Big Voice 2024

Last week our Senior Choir participated in the annual One Big Voice concert at RAC arena. It was a fantastic experience for our students to be a part of Australia’s largest and most inclusive children’s choir.

Cartooning Excursion

Selected students, and the entire Year 2 cohort, were lucky enough to meet author Gavin Aung who taught them all about the process he goes through when writing and illustrating his books. He read one of his stories Baa Baa Blackbelt and demonstrated to our students how to draw some of his characters. Gavin also talked about how he became an illustrator and author and inspired students to work hard and follow their dreams!

Book Week – Incursion

Perform Education visited PVS to help close off what had been a busy Book Week! They entertained students and teachers with “Maybe a Miracle”, a show filled with songs, dancing, and storytelling, that explored the joy and magic that books and stories can bring. A big thank you to families for their support in helping promote the importance and fun of reading for your children!

Lumen Christi Dance Showcase

Our Year 4/5 students were invited to Lumen Christi College today where their dance students were excited to present their 2024 Dance Showcase. The vibrant dance routines wowed our students through different dance styles including Liturgical Dance, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, and Ballet.

It was wonderful seeing how engaged our students were in the performance. They all agreed it was an amazing show!

Government House  Excursion

This term the Wombat class travelled into the heart of the city to tour Government House. During their visit, they learned about the history of the House and were fortunate to meet with the Governor of Western Australia, Mr Chris Dawson. Their day concluded by having lunch in the beautiful Heritage Gardens and a visit to the oldest Building in Perth.
