GET INVOLVED! NEXT MEETING TUESDAY 20TH FEBRUARY 5PM IN THE STAFF ROOM - ALL WELCOME!

As always, the PFA warmly welcomes any interested parents to join the committee.  The commitment is designed to be as family friendly as possible, with one (or two at most) meetings per term and we can arrange zoom participation if needed.  We need you and your ideas to continue to build the wonderful community that is St Michael's!  If you are interested - even just pondering - please contact Therese Molnar on 0417.014.772 or via therese.molnar@gmail.com.

Ashburton Festival Cake Stall

We are looking forward to a great day on Sunday 25th February. We are still seeking donations of a bag (or two) of lollies from each family for us to make lolly bags for the stall. Look for the black tubs at the front gate (near the office) at drop off and pick up, or leave them with Kathy in the school office. Thanks in advance for your support.

Baking kits will be sent home early next week, including some delicious, simple recipes. Each family is asked to contribute at least one baked good for the stall.  Thanks to Jane Potter (Mum of Anna R and Claire R) who has already whipped up some amazing jams for our stall during the holidays.

Most importantly, we need help on the day. This is always a fun and exciting day, and many great friendships have been forged over running the snow cone machine!  Please go to our sign up sheet at volunteersignup.org/ARMQD  Just follow the instructions - it only takes a minute to do!  We especially need help toward the end of the day from 2pm onwards and at least two more people to help with set up at 8am.

Class Lists and WhatsApp Groups:

A reminder to please complete your consent to sharing contact details as requested through Operoo last week, so that class lists can be circulated.  It is also important that you join your children's class WhatsApp groups so that you can be kept informed of all the exciting events happening in 2024.  The links are in the school newsletter - if you have any difficulties, please just contact either your class rep or Therese Molnar on 0417.014.772 and we can get you connected.  Thank you again to our fabulous class reps for all they do to keep us all informed.

THANK YOU!

A huge thank you to the fabulous pancake crew - firstly the teachers for whipping up litres of pancake mix - and then Rod and Dan for flipping hundreds of pancakes; Annie, Kathy, Ray, Eloise, Deanna, Emma, Laura, Jo, Liz & Therese for turning up at 7.30am and serving up those piles of pancakes with a smile and thanks to all those who came and enjoyed them.  Despite the warm wind, it was a deliciously cheerful way to collectively prepare for the start of Lent.
