This week  students are sharing their wonderings about water. 


VOCABULARY

Water: A clear, odourless, and colourless liquid essential for all life.

Vapour: The gaseous form of water when it turns into steam.

Solvent: A substance that dissolves other substances.


ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

With your child, explore filling ice trays and placing them in the freezer. Ask the following questions:

  • While filling: describe what water looks like, feels like, tastes like.
  • After the ice has frozen, what does the water look like, feel like and tastes like
  • Describe/discuss the process from liquid to solid
