Enhancing and Maintaining the Functions of our students
At Endeavour Hills Specialist School, we have an amazing group of therapists who work with our students and staff to develop the skills and strategies they need to grow, gain and promote their independence.
The team consists of;
Occupational Therapy - aims to support students to build independence in all aspects of their school life
Speech Therapy - supports students who have difficulties relating to communication, and/or eating and drinking. Speech pathologists work within transdisciplinary teams to embed best practice strategies within learning programs
Music therapy - is a research-based practice in which musical activities are used to support people in improving their health, wellbeing and quality of life.
Psychologist - the schools Psychologist works with many various stakeholders, to provide psychological services to our students such as working with students individually or within a small group on issues of concern, which may include mental health, relationships, concerns about what is happening at home or school, problem solving, and working towards achieving goals they may have in the school environment.
The team is always ready and on hand to answer any questions parents/carers have regarding the care their child is receiving at school.
