From the Principal

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the beginning of another exciting year at St Augustine’s College. I hope that you all have had a restful and enjoyable holiday and that you are eager and ready for the year ahead. As we embark on this new journey together, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude and pride in being the Principal of our beautiful College.

Our school has a rich history of providing a faith-based, academic and wellbeing education to students from Foundation to Year 12. I believe that the combination of academic, well-being and spiritual growth is the key to developing the whole person who is prepared to be a contributing member of the human community in Christ and make a positive impact in our world.

As we begin this school year, I would like to express my commitment to working closely with all members of the College community to ensure that our students receive the best education possible. Whether it be through academic programs, extracurricular activities or spiritual development, I am confident that we will provide our students with the tools they need to succeed and flourish.

We embark on a new journey guided by our new Identity Statement: Unite, Inspire, Lead, Excel with Strength and Kindliness. These words encapsulate the spirit of our school and serve as a compass for our actions and aspirations.

"Unite" reminds us of the strength we find in togetherness. It speaks to our commitment to foster a sense of belonging, where every member of our community feels valued and supported.

"Inspire" challenges us to ignite the spark of curiosity and passion for learning. We aim not only to impart knowledge but also to instil a lifelong love of learning that will guide them in their future endeavours.

"Lead" calls us to be examples of integrity and compassion. Whether in the classroom or beyond, we strive to nurture leaders who lead with humility and empathy.

"Excel" encourages us to pursue excellence in all that we do, while also emphasising the importance of kindness and compassion. It reminds us that true success is not measured solely by achievements but also by the impact we have on others.

As we embrace our new Identity Statement, let us remember that it is not just a set of words but a call to action. Together, let us unite in our commitment to inspire, lead and excel with strength and kindliness. May this school year be filled with joy, growth and a deepening of our shared values.

So as we begin this new school year, let us embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead and let us work together to make this the best year yet. I look forward to seeing each and every student in the classroom and I am confident that together we will achieve great things.

Welcome back!
