FROM THE CAREERS TEAM

As we move into 2024 the Pathways and Careers Team is giving our Career News a new look.  It will now be called ENVISION and our first edition can be found at the link below:

ENVISION 1st Edition

ENVISION means to “imagine as a future possibility” and our hope is that students can do this by being curious and taking advantage of all the opportunities available to them during their teenage years.  According to Claire Eaton author of, The Organised Teenager, our teenagers are asking BIG questions:

  • Who am I?
  • Where do I fit in?
  • Who am I important to?
  • What’s important to me?
  • What am I good at?
  • What’s my purpose?

Here at BHCS it is our passion to help our students answer these questions! The Pathways and Careers Team is particularly interested in helping with the last two questions - what am I good at and what’s my purpose.  It can be overwhelming keeping up to speed with all the pathways information available out there but we will filter that information by curating relevant opportunities and put these in our new ENVISION Newsletter.  This will be sent out to Yr 10, Yr 11 and Yr 12 students via KIT every fortnight; it will also be available in the BHCS Newsletter and the school website.  We encourage you as parents to read it too as you partner with your teenager to find their place in the world. Let’s DREAM IT!
