Physical Education

Hello Bunyip Primary School Community and  welcome to PE 2024!

I am so excited to join BPS as the PE Specialist, and have loved my first couple of weeks.

These two weeks we have discussed the importance of Physical Education, defining it as a space we will learn the skills, knowledge, and build the confidence to go on ANY adventure in life!

We also went through the expectations in PE, and developed a free choice reward system for those who are seen showing our school values (Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience) that get to enjoy their free choice reward in the following week.

Well done to Sadie and Jackson (5/6), Sophie and Ava (3/4) and Miheli and Sidney  (1/2 and 1) for being our first students to receive this reward for 2024.🌟

We ended our lessons with ice breaker games and ones that focus on cooperation and working as a team with Good Sportsmanship (you could test your child to see if they remember something from our Good Sportsmanship chant) or ask them about the Crazy Card Challenge.

On top of this and more, the Year 5/6s developed a personal goal for term 1’s  focus on Athletics, this will support them in building upon their ability to take responsibility for their learning, set and work towards achieving a goal!⬇️

I am excited to see where this year takes us ⚽️🎾🏀🏉🏏🏸💪🌟
