Dear Parents and Guardians,
We're looking forward to having The Man Cave come work with our Year 10 students on 1 March 2024.
The best way we can support the boys is by also ensuring the community around them is supported too. Please visit the link below as preparation for you to support the boys during this time.

Year 11 biology students were able to successfully complete a practical “Yeasty boys” investigating Cellular Respiration using yeast with varying food sources & conditions. Students then compared the results to examine respiration rates in yeast.

A big couple of weeks for the 12’s with their self-designed jumpers arriving. The students now stand out in the community as the senior years and they look great, (even some of the teachers want one!)
If any student would like to purchase a jumper – please see me ASAP and I will organise the link to reopen shortly.
The year 12 Futures and Pathways camp at Fed Uni Ballarat was a success and congratulations to the staff and students who attended with many fun memories of 2024 being made. Thanks to all the staff who stayed the 3 days and also those who drove up to run events or just visit. A special thanks to Lauren Marino and Brenna Loe who worked on the fly as a couple of our booked presenters had to cancel on short notice.
Students also had a session with Elevate education who gave the VCE students some good study tips and techniques such as the Cornell note taking method and the importance of using colour etc in their revision documents. The VCE-VM students also had a session on making their job applications stand out from the crowd.
Highlights included all you can eat pizza hut, the silent disco. The students really enjoyed themselves and those who attended were presented with their yr12 badges from college principal Fiona Taylor.

Tax File Number (TFN)
Any student will need at tax file number if they start work (part-time and full-time) and all students planning on a tertiary education require one when they start. Importantly, current Year 12 students are reminded that they cannot enrol in a CSP (Commonwealth Support Place) course at university without a Tax File Number, so it is worthwhile getting an application submitted early! Students must apply for a TFN online and have their identity verified through an interview at a participating Australia Post office. To apply and also to find out about participating Post Offices, visit TFN Application
