PSSA Netball Knockout

Congratulations to the Edgeworth Public School netball team on their outstanding performance in the first round of the PSSA Netball Knockout! The team delivered a commanding 32-3 victory against Edgeworth Heights Public School, followed by an impressive 18-6 win over Kurri Kurri Public School in the second round.

Throughout both matches, the students showcased excellent teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication. Well done, girls, on advancing to the next round. Keep up the fantastic work!

PSSA Soccer Knockout 

Big effort from our PSSA Senior Soccer teams last Tuesday.

Our girls showed plenty of grit in Round 1, going down 3–1 to Edgeworth Heights. A determined performance.

The boys had an outstanding start to their campaign, powering to a 6–1 win over Edgeworth Heights in their opening game. They kept the momentum rolling with a thrilling 4–3 victory over Cardiff, showing great composure in defence during the closing stages to seal the result in the second game. 

In Round 3, the boys found themselves trailing 3–1 late in the second half against a committed Minmi side. In a fantastic team effort, they fought back to level the score at 3–3. With the final moments ticking away, Edgeworth snatched a late winner. Our boys should be incredibly proud of their resilience and teamwork.

A big thank you to Mr Hannah for getting the boys game ready. Your effort and support made a real difference! 

The boys now progress onto Round 4 of the Knockout Comp at a later date.
