COMMUNITY SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS

Congratulations to Callum H (4DS) who received the Coaches Award for his cricket team at Riverside Cricket Club this season.

Well done 💪🏼

Congratulations to Seb D (5RB), Raf F (3MH), and Sarah B (4DS) who were nominated by their club to try out for the Football Victoria Skill Acquisition Phase! This prestigious state program offers extra soccer training for the most promising young players. Only a select few from across the state are invited—what an incredible achievement and experience!

Well done 💪🏼

It’s awesome to see so many Greenhills students playing basketball across the Diamond Valley every weekend, highlighted by Saturday’s game where Parker P (3JC) and Paddy B’s (3TW) team were playing on the court next to Marley F (3TW) and Jacob K (3JC).

If your child achieves something special (grand final win, most valuable player award, best and fairest etc.), please email me (jordan.daley@education.vic.gov.au) through photos and an overview of the achievement to post in Contact. It is important to celebrate and recognise such successes with the school community.

CAMPS, SPORTS, EXCURSION FUND (CSEF)

School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors. Excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works while sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership.  All are a part of a healthy curriculum.  CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

The annual CSEF amount per primary school student is $150.

If you received CSEF in 2024 you do not need to apply again, however if you are new to Greenhills and have a valid concession card or have an additional child (eg Prep) that commenced, please complete the attached form (available from the office too) and hand into the office with a copy of your concession card. Any queries please don’t hesitate to contact the office.  Applications close 4th July 2025.  Here is the link to complete the form :
