This week, our positive behaviour for learning focus is following staff instructions.

Students have been learning how listening to and following instructions helps their learning and keeps everyone safe.

Why is it important?

Safe

1. Know What to Do: Following instructions helps you understand exactly what you need to do. This makes it easier to focus and reduces confusion, which helps everyone feel safe.

2. Avoid Accidents: When you listen carefully to safety instructions, especially during activities like science experiments or sport, you can help keep yourself and your classmates safe.

3. Keep Things Calm: Following instructions helps the classroom stay organised and calm. When everyone knows what to do, there’s less chaos, and it’s easier to learn.

Respectful

1. Show You Care: When you follow your teacher’s instructions, you respect their role and what they are trying to teach you. This helps create a respectful classroom environment.
