Term 1 Focus – Know & Grow our Students
As we move through Term 1, our Know & Grow focus has been central to our approach in ensuring student growth is at the heart of our work. Our staff have dedicated significant time to analysing key data points—NAPLAN results, PAT Reading and Maths assessments, and classroom observations—to gain a clear understanding of where each student is starting their learning journey this year.
By leveraging this data, teachers are making informed decisions about their practice, ensuring they are targeting students at their point of need. Whether through scaffolding learning, consolidating core skills, or extending students into new challenges, this approach allows for meaningful differentiation.
Our school-wide differentiation language—Building Confidence, Feeling Good, and Up for a Challenge—guides this work, ensuring every student experiences growth in their learning. This focus will continue throughout 2025 as we work collectively to embed data-informed teaching that supports and challenges all learners.

NAPLAN
Our students have demonstrated an incredible commitment to this year’s NAPLAN testing, approaching it with the seriousness it deserves. Their effort ensures we obtain a true snapshot of student performance, providing valuable insights into strengths and areas for growth across literacy and numeracy.
Later in the year, we will undertake a detailed analysis of the results, using the data to identify successes and inform areas for improvement in our teaching practice. This information will also be shared with our school community, reinforcing our commitment to continuous learning and student growth.
A big thank you to our staff for their support throughout this process and to our students for their engagement—it’s this collective effort that helps drive improvement across the school.
2025 Italy Tour
Best of luck to our 13 students embarking on an incredible three-week journey to Italy! This tour is a fantastic opportunity for them to immerse themselves in Italian culture, exploring historic and vibrant cities such as Florence, Venice, and Rome. Beyond the sights, students will embrace the local way of life—practising their language skills, experiencing Italian traditions, and hopefully enjoying plenty of pasta and gelato along the way!
A special thank you to our staff for their dedication in organising this experience. These opportunities provide lifelong memories and invaluable learning beyond the classroom. We look forward to hearing all about their adventures upon their return!
